I need to start taking some time to post on this more. I am sorry to everyone who is following this. Things have been kind of crazy here lately and I just plainly have not been able to get to it. It is cold outside tonight and I missed the eclipse...UGH! John got his new four wheeler tonight and I got my new "used" car also. With the price of gas I decided that I need something small and good on gas. I found a 2001 daewoo, a little black thing that gets 30 miles to a gallon. Sure beats my explorer. We had a pizza night tonight and we are calling it an early night.

It is not to cold or chilly today and the sun is out. Ashley is in playing with Cheyenne as they had a sleepover. Not doing much today except the cleaning and need to pack a few thinks away that we find we are not gonna need right now. I do have to head to the store sometime this afternoon as we are going to make personal size pizzas for dinner. Tomorrow me and Ashley have a butterfly craft project we are going to do. I will have to get some pictures to share. She has matured since coming home to us and we are finding that she can sit and do something for longer periods of time. My sister Angela who is 34 years old has been trying to get pregnant for a few years now. She called me this weekend to give me the good news. She is pregnant and due in September. We are all excited. Hoping for a niece but as long as the baby is healthy I am happy
On Thursday I started coming down sick. On Saturday Ashley started getting sick. She is home from school today. We are pushing the liquids and she is in bed watching a movie.
We had some weird weather here lately so this is why everyone is getting sick.
Hopefully we are feeling better soon.

We got snow and ice during the wee hours of the morning. Ashley was excited as school was delayed for 2 hours. She had time to play before the bus came. It is very cold. We bought bead kits that you make key chains with so we will be making them tonight.

Monday and it is cold and gloomy out... we are suppose to get some snow.
Yesterday we went shopping and they have good clearance sales already on winter clothing. Yesterday while I was cleaning the kitchen I heard Ashley in the other room meowing. I looked in and their was our girl in a crawl position. SHe had used construction paper and mad a cat nose and ears and a tail and attached them to herself and was down swatting the cat toys around trying to get Mo to play with her. It was just too cute. We went and bought snacks for her morning snack time at school. She loves the apple cereal bars so we had to grab them also. She helped me make a cat bed for Mo as she is due soon for the kittens. Ashley is still having a hard time learning how to crochet by she will get the hang of it soon with practice.

Been wet here the past 2 days.
We stayed in for most of the day today and then we went out to dinner. Ashley loves going to Bob's down the road. She loves that she can order breakfast at supper also. If she has a good week then we go there on Saturdays. Tonight she had a unique mixture.... grilled cheese sandwich and a side order of french fries and gravy. She loved it! We are going to the ATV shop this week to look around. We are trying to decide if we really want to buy new ones this year. I will be parking the explorer soon as I am going to go look at new cars. With the price of gas I am looking for something smaller. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

We have a winter advisory in effect for freezing rain until 2 pm today. YUCK!
Ashley has adjusted well to her new school. She is in a self contained class where there is her and 9 other students. We are hoping that she benefits from this as she needs the extra help with her schooling. She was having a very hard time on the regular bus coming home from school so after talking to the school worker she is now set up for the mini bus. It picks her up and drops her off at our door. We had our mental evaluation on Friday. Today my niece Cynthia is being induced to have her little girl.....Kiara Marie. She was sue on the 16th but Kiara is being a stubborn little one. We hope that everyone is having a great day and staying warm.

Gloomy looking day today.

We will start painting here room this week so we can get her bedroom organized again.
We got her a daybed so she can also put small pillows around to hang out and read.
Our niece still has not had the baby and is scheduled to be induced on Tuesday. She is happy that she will soon be able to hold and cuddle her.

It is sunny but very cold this morning. Ashley is off to school. She has a friend from her old school there so that helps. She had homework for the first time since going to the new school and really sat right down and had it done fast and right. She is now getting the extra help she needs for school. She loves that they have a cafeteria there and she can now have hot lunches instead of a bag lunch everyday. She is excited as the cable is finally being transferred today.

It is a cold and windy day here......29 degrees.
Made sure Ashley was bundled up so the wind wouldn't blow her away....LOL!
Ashley's new floor is all in and next we will begin the painting. After her room is all done we will be putting a new hard wood floor in our room. Ashley made a few friends already at the new school. She was in a hurry to get to the bus stop this morning to see them. This is a very good sign as she does not make friends that easy. Ashley wants cheeseburger hamburger helper tonight as it is the one night a week she can pick dinner. So we will be having that with a salad and garlic bread.
SUnday was Cynthia's baby shower. We all had a great time. Ashley enjoyed spending the day with all her cousins. She went to bed that night with a full belly and a grin on her face.

Since she has been home.
I sat back today and thought about the changes and different things that Ashley is learning since coming to us in September.
Ashley no longer chews her hair. She doesn't bite her nails anymore. She takes care of her hair and we never find snarles anymore. She now gets her clothes ready and matches them good. She makes great choices on snacks and drinks. She keeps her room neat and organized. She has a better imagination when playing. She loves to read more age appropiate books. She was excited watching the boy's free willi movies. Ashley loves to sing and does it all the time. She now tells us how smart she is. She learned from another boy in school how to do snot rockets so we had to talk about how gross that is and little girls should never do it. She is learning how to crochet and how to do laundry and this really boost her self esteem. She has no problem telling people that she is mommy's princess. She loves to learn how to do different things. She learned how to ride daddys big quad this year and wants a dirt bike next. We look forward to her learning alot more and being there to see it. She is our gift from God.
We had a super day today. We got all the gifts ready for the baby shower today. Tomorrow morning we are cooking the pasta dish that we are taking. Me and Ashley did crafts for a couple of hours today. She loves sitting at her new table and chair set and doing her crafts. I will have to get a picture of this to post so everyone can see it.
We wnet on an icecream run tonight as we had a great day.
Ashley is sleeeping now as it took her awhile to go to sleep. I think it is because she is excited to go to the baby shower tomorrow and play with her cousins.
Ashley found a set of dolls that she fell in love with. Me made a short video type thing of them to add her. We are thinking about getting them printed and put into cute little frames for her to hang in her room.
Went through all of Ashley's clothes this morning. SHe is growing so I will need to go clothes shopping again soon.
In September when she came to us she was wearing a size 7/8; yeah tiny. Now she is starting in size 12. She is getting so tall also. She is 4 foot 11. She sure is going to be talker then me in a year....LOL!
It is a nice day out and the sun is coming in and out. Ashley is outside playing. She spends more time outside now that there is snow on the ground.

Wow the day is only half over and I am ready for a hot shower and pajamas. That is not gonna happen though as Ashley and me have to start empting everything out of her room so Dad can take up the old rug. Tomorrow we start putting the hard wood floor in. Ashley is excited that we are going to start her floor but I am sure the excitement will not last for long once we start having to move everything.
Cynthia's due date is today but no baby yet. I posted her picture below..... got to love it! Her baby shower is Sunday and we were telling her that we will be having the party while she is in the Hospital having the baby. She is naming her Kiara Marie...Love the name. When she first told me her name I was wondering where she got such a pretty name and she told me from Lion King. Too cute!
Ashley will be a aunt in July as Diane is pregnant. She wants her to have a girl so we can dress her pretty. We are praying for a healthy baby and a girl would be nice.LOL!

Hello everyone.
Sorry we slacked abit on the blog but we are trying to get back on track.
We got the new paint for Ashley's bedroom. It is a very pretty lilac color. We also are going to be putting down wood flooring. SHe is so excited to get this done.
We bought white lace valances for her windows. We are going to be getting white shelves to hang in her room in the near ffuture. Ashley has been having fun playing with all her new toys from Santa. She loves the guitar and mic the best. This was a good call as she loves to sing. This weekend we bought bratz valentine cards for her to hand out next month. They are cute and Bratz are her all time favotites. We were suppose to get up to 12 inches of snow but so far just a light coating. Hope everyone is having a great day.

ASHLEY AND MO
This is our cat Mo. She was a stray on the street and showed up here and there to be fed over the summer and then moved in and has been a great house cat
